Canadian Trademark Registration

Registration with the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) entitles the owner to the exclusive right to use the trademark throughout Canada in respect of the goods or services for which it is registered. After five years from the date of registration, the ability to contest the trademark based on prior use in the market becomes very limited. The main purpose for registration is to protect the public from confusion.

Allow us to prepare, file and manage your trademark application through to registration for an initial fee of CAD$800 plus the government filing fees of CAD$250 for filing. The government charges another CAD$200 for registration.
